Relationship Rant

This'll be my last and only post concerning this, and relationships in general.

I guess I should have seen it coming. I suspected it for a while, but knowingly hid it from myself. Two years we've been off and on, one of those years being completely together. Obviously she's special to me. I can't blame her for feeling the way she does; we've had our problems, and I can understand why she wants to move on.

The thing is, and it's what bothers me the most: this has always happened to me concerning relationships. I'm always the second best; next to the douche, the best friend; I've even been bested by drugs and partying. Hell.

I guess the only question to ask now is, "What would John Cusack do?"

I need to stop reading internet gaming forums; I fear as if I'm slowing growing more and more stupid by the minute. I also need to start reading this pile of books I have sitting on my table.

I got third in that previously stated contest; losing to somebody who made a copy/paste iso picture which isn't interesting at all; and a well known someone who made references to the community. Albeit, they were both well done for what they were; but this was definitely a vote for the more well known people. Not that I don't accept the prize.

My music list is starting to dwindle in terms of stuff I really care to listen to.
So about a month ago I sent my 360 in to get repairs. I recently got it back the other day, only to find that they sent me a "replacement unit", which I thought; awesome, it's completely new, no problems.

Why was I wrong?

It seems to run fine; if I were deaf. Whenever I insert a 360 game into the console, it makes a terribly unhealthy grinding noise. There's no damage to the game itself, and I don't wanna crack the warranty by opening it and seeing what's going on for myself.

I can't even register for a repair on the website anymore, because apparently it's still being repaired.

I don't believe I've shit my pants worse than any mission involving the undead within these games. I'll have to upload some of the sounds they use, cause goddamn, I was playing around midnight last night and it made me really want to just shut my computer off. This isn't even a horror game.

I just beat Thief 2 about an hour ago, and I was a little disappointed that there weren't as many missions involving the undead (although compared to the first one, I should say this is a good thing). The in game graphics are seriously horrendous and aren't improved (over the first), however I'm really impressed with the lighting and AI in these games. How many games (especially when this Thief 1 came out) involved AI being able to hear your footsteps depending upon surface type/speed/distance, or see you depending upon how much light was hitting your person?

On to Thief 3.

Whatever happened to music videos being entertaining? I mean, if you look at 80's and early 90's music videos they're like mini-movies that nearly meet the standards of movies of the time.
it's been nearly two months, and i still don't have a job. granted, quitting was my best decision, but without a license or any place around here actually hiring, i'm screwed for money. if i can hold off until february (to get my license and a car) before my parents tweak and kick me out, i think i'll be okay. i've been looking at some stuff at Gearbox's website and they have this COGS program where you can sign up to be trained to work at their company. best part? doesn't cost a dime (from what i can see). problem being you have to have transport and your own housing, which i don't think would be too big a problem so long as they don't mind employees sleeping in their cars in the parking lot.

as for christmas; maybe 3-4 of the items on my list were followed: being a drawing desk, and a couple movies and cds. i don't believe i've ever recieved anything i've asked for unless i've repeatedly complained about it. anyways, to break in the nice new desk, and the long awaited usage of charcoal:

http://i262.photobucket.com/albums/ii90/LeTrompe/Raw%20Artwork/bruceleecharcoal.png

I love charcoal.

Now to get working on that portfolio.

I'm honestly thinking of restarting this, and then doing it all over again in paint. As primitive as the program is, I've never had a problem with how things look in their finished state. In Photoshop, I feel like everything is just too messy. I've been using stupid filters as background fillers as well; which is a mistake, but I think I just haven't gotten used to PS, yet.

Either way, I'm abandoning it, and going with paint until I can find something better (or paint.net since it has layers).

--

Also, wasted my time doing this: http://www.fpsbanana.com/skins/34480
My first ever skins for anything 3D. Ever. I didn't really do much other than change some colors and switch some of their already existing textures around, but I still feel proud that I created something. Right now I'm working on actually texturing something, and I've found it's not that hard. I can only imagine having to skin an unskinned model.
